Jochen Erler is a freelance writer on wine and spirits for trade magazines in the UK (Harpers, Drinks Business), Germany (Weinwirtschaft) and overseas. He writes for “Weinbau”, an Austrian wine journal, as their foreign correspondent.
For 20 years he has been a permanent member of jury at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in England,  since 2010 at the Austrian Wine Challenge, and intermittently at the following other  wine competitions.

J.E. works occasionally as consultant for wine producers and importers.  He is a speaker at the International Wine Tourism Conference.  At the 2010 Conference in Barcelona, he spoke about his experience as a wine tour leader. Since the 2011 Conference in Porto, his topic has been “Wine Tourism and Spa Wellness”, suggesting destinations for wine tours.  He will also speak about “Wine Therapy”.
